About us

There are a record 169,000 children In England who are homeless in temporary accommodation right now. When you ask what they want for Christmas, apart from the usual toys and treats, they'll tell you: a flushing toilet. A cooked meal. My own bed. No more arguments. No more damp.

Families will be sleeping on sofas, staying with friends and relatives, without a permanent place to call their own.

Some individuals will even be sleeping in freezing cars, damp tents, or huddled in dirty doorways.

Our message is clear: this is not a home.

With your incredible support through Walk for Home, Shelter can continue to stand with those in need of a safe place to call home. Let's walk together for housing justice and make a real difference!
